We appreciate you guys' enthusiasm for Curse of the Dead Gods, and we're hoping to bring more things to the game, even if it is not our priority at the moment!Ĭheers, its a well made game! Thanks for all you guys have done over the years of development and i hope to see success in your new game! But at the moment, we're taking a break from Curse of the Dead Gods to focus on the development of a new game. It doesn't mean that we won't patch a few bugs here and there, or even add more content or features in the future. Moreover, the Motion Twin team created a new studio to focus only on Dead Cells updates, and so far this is not in our plans haha Since you're mentioning Dead Cells, I think it would be fair to remind you that the game is now 3 years old and had plenty of time to create all the updates you're referring to. It feels like a sandbox with no sand.Basically what Esty and Epica242 said is right, the game is fully released and we even popped an extra post-launch update in June with a surprise Dead Cells crossover. It doesn't fundamentally change the way you play the game, just adjusts the overall skill level via stat checks The ability to gain buffs before going into a run takes away from it being a rogue-like and makes it into a pity system. It is just a slow burn with nothing driving you forward. Id like to enjoy this game, the game-play concepts were intriguing but effectively its punishing, and not the souls-like punishing where you have fun in spite of the set backs and struggle. your money to enjoyment ratio is more effective elsewhere for the genre/s this game covers.Īs for personal quarrels with the game itself i.e You love this game or hate it.īut Id suggest your money elsewhere, Hollow knight, Hades, Slay the spire Inscryption etc. Too many reviews are either 5 hours or 200 hours. but I also advise people to look at the positive reviews and how little total hours the person gained, especially after posting the review. I've played lots of games over the years, and typically I would suggest ignoring the reviews with little hours behind them, mine included. On paper this game sounded interesting but the execution is dreadful,
